Munkustrap protects and leads the tribe when Old Deuteronomy is not there. He particularly pays attention to the kittens and makes sure that they are safe when there is danger around. He is the tom fighting with Macavity in order to defend the tribe.
He organizes a play for Old Deuteronomy's arrival, The Awful Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles, and seems very desesperate when the Jellicles do all they should not during the play !
Munkustrap will probably be the next Jellicle Leader when Old Deuteronomy will pass away.
Kind of narrator, he is one of the main characters of the shows.
Munkustrap is a grey tabby cat who looks like an ordinary cat. His costume and make-up are grey with black stripes, sometimes with a little bit of white. His legwarmers are black or grey and black.
