Penny Handley :

A fourth generation dancer, Penny started classes at the age of three. Securing an allround 
education in classical, tap and jazz, Penny was accepted into the Victorian College of the 
Arts in year seven, completing secondary school and two years of a tertiary diploma in 
classical dance. During the past four years Penny has also studied classical singing and 
drama. In 1986 she toured overseas with the V.C.A. performing in Hong Kong, Scotland, and 
England. To date Penny's professional credits include live televised Australia Day concerts 
1985-1987 and Logie Award presentation 1987, choreographed by Jillian Fitzgerald, and the 
movie Wills and Burke, choreographer Joanne Robinson. At eighteen years of age, Cats marks 
Penny's first venture into musical comedy.
