Her names through the world

Her name is different through the different countrys where Cats is played.
Her original name is Jemima, it is/was used in the London production, and other productions which are/were similiar to the London one (like European and UK Tour). It is used in the video too.
This name comes from the Bible, in the Old Testament. Job get three daughters :
"And he called the name of the first, JEMIMA; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren-Happuch. And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren."
I read that Jemima means dove, and this word describes her very well.
In the French Bible, "Jemima" is translated as "Tourterelle", which means turtledove.

Her other name is Sillabub. It is/was used on Broadway, in Australia, Japan, France, Germany, Sweden, US Tours.
For T.S.Eliot Sillabub is a contraction of "silly" and "beelzebub", which is another name for the Devil.
I also found that "Silla" is a character in the Bible. In the Book of Genesis, you find all Adam and Eve's direct descendants. One of them is Lemek, who has got two wifes, "Ada and Silla". Anyway, it has nothing to do with Sillabub...

Other names :
- Oslo : Mjau. Mjau is a Swedish verb and means meow/miaow. It probably refers to Jemima's being a kitten and mewling over the Tugger.
- Netherlands and Antwerpen : Sylvania. Sylvani(a) means 'woods', 'wooded area', 'wooded hills', 'woodlands', or 'forest', an example being the state Pennsylvania, which means 'Penn's Woods'. Names like Sylvia and Silas are derived from this Latin word. This may refer to the geography and characteristics of the country where the production is located.
- Copenhagen : Jemina
- Poland : Promyczek
- Prag : Jemine
